hello there! my name is mila and i create modern, yet playful, functional ceramic pieces in the District of Columbia. i can’t remember a time in my life where i wasn’t making something - whether it was drawing, working in a dark room on film photography, or even trying my hand at cross stitching and embroidery - i was always keeping myself busy with something creative.

my love for art runs deep, this is thanks in part to my mom who taught me the value of good design and the pure joy it can foster. i love being able make things with my own two hands, so that’s why I started milamade, a place where I could showcase and share my creations. I am extremely thankful for the opportunity I have to create pieces during in these special “in between” moments in life.
